Job Title: Commercial Handler/Underwriter

Job Description:
The role involves working in partnership with underwriters to respond to broker queries in a timely and efficient manner. Commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and the ability to build durable relationships with brokers are essential. Although commercial underwriting experience is not necessary, as training will be provided, candidates should have at least one year of personal lines experience.

Candidates should also possess APA status and be working towards CIP certification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administration of policies for midterm alterations and renewals
  • Following up on diary items with brokers and underwriters
  • Responding to emails and queries from brokers/underwriters within service level agreements
  • Responding to phone queries from brokers/underwriters in a confident, friendly, and professional manner
  • Investigating and solving accounts queries
  • Processing policies, schedules, and endorsements on both underwriting and broker systems, creating and issuing relevant documentation
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- APA certification
- Minimum 1 year of personal lines experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Excel
- Proactive, flexible, and willing to assist colleagues
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, pay attention to detail, and thrive in a dynamic environmentBenefits:
