Senior Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone with strong yard operations experience who is confident managing a small team in a busy waste facility.
The Role:
- Supervising and scheduling yard operatives to meet operational needs.
- Managing traffic entering the civic amenity area and waste tipping shed.
- Operating heavy machinery such as forklifts, loading shovels, and diggers when required.
- Ensuring all health & safety and EPA requirements are met.
- Keeping the yard clean, safe, and bins regularly emptied.
- Participating in weekly site management meetings and contributing to cost-saving initiatives.
- Acting professionally and courteously with colleagues and members of the public.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar yard, waste, or recycling environment.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team.
- Licences for forklift and experience driving 360/digger machinery (essential).
- Manual handling certification.
- Strong practical skills and a hands-on approach.
- Flexibility to work across different areas when required.
- Own transport (mandatory).
- Eligibility to work in Ireland and fluency in English.
