Beverage Operations Manager

Job Description:

The Beverage Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all beverage operations across the hotel and arena, including seven bars and a team of 30+ employees. This role manages high-volume events, such as conferences and leisure activities, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining full compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

This senior leadership position combines Bars Management and Event Beverage Operations, requiring a dynamic and commercially-minded professional with experience in high-volume service, people management, and event operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Experience: Foster a guest-centric culture across the team, monitor and enhance the guest experience through feedback systems, and drive continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and motivate a team, deliver ongoing training and development, including supervisory growth, conduct regular team meetings, coaching, and performance reviews.
  • Operations Management: Ensure smooth daily operations across all bars and venues, maintain full compliance with hygiene, safety & licensing.
  • Revenue & Financial Performance: Develop and execute a revenue strategy aligned to targets, achieve beverage gross profit targets, and control labour and operational costs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the wider hotel management team, attend management meetings, and support cross-departmental goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a management role within a high-volume hotel or event venue.
  • Strong background in both beverage and food service operations.
  • Proven commercial acumen with budgeting and financial reporting skills.
  • Strong leadership and people development experience.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
