Job Overview:

As a Trainee Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements and participating in the performance of audits. You will also compile management accounts and other management reporting and bookkeeping, as well as prepare corporation tax, VAT, RCT and income tax returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial statements;
  • Participate in the performance of audits;
  • Compile management accounts and other management reporting and bookkeeping;
  • Prepare corporation tax, VAT, RCT and income tax returns;
  • Prepare and process payroll;
  • Liaise with banks, legal firms, revenue and other professional advisers;
  • Manage client company secretarial requirements;
  • Work under the supervision of senior staff members and provide support.
Requirements:

We are looking for individuals who expect to achieve at least a 2.1 in accountancy or a business-related degree. Candidates should have obtained 420+ points at leaving cert level (or equivalent) and possess strong communication and English language skills.
