
Europe Payroll Specialist

Job Description:
The Europe Payroll Department is responsible for the completion of the monthly European payroll, encompassing 850 employees across 26+ countries. The role requires collaboration with the Payroll team lead and coordinator to support all aspects of the payroll process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collation of payroll data from internal sources and communication to external payroll providers in line with strict deadlines.
- Accurate payroll processing in compliance with country-specific requirements.
- Validation of monthly payroll payments via reconciliation of reports from payroll providers with internal sourced data.
- Provision of accounting information to the Europe General Ledger teams in a timely and accurate manner.
- Month end payroll activities – journal preparation, accruals, and employee tax reconciliations.
- Ensure timely payment of Tax & Social Security payments and any other miscellaneous statutory payments or deductions within each country's deadlines.
- Manage queries ensuring prompt response.
Requirements:
- Strong Microsoft Office experience, particularly Excel.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating Payroll processes in a Shared Services Centre or multi-country/multi-currency corporate environment.
- A working knowledge of Payroll or Accounting systems.
- Diploma/Degree level or high-level Accountancy desirable.
- Minimum Leaving Certificate Maths or Accounting certification.
- IPASS qualification, part-qualified or international equivalent.
