
Senior Learning Strategist

The Training Manager will be accountable for overseeing the comprehensive training process, encompassing coordination of activities and plans across their direct team.
- Develop a strategic plan to ensure training evolves in line with organisational goals, considering contemporary and emerging best practices.
- Implement training strategies, reviewing both online and offline options, to meet production process requirements.
- Collaborate with partner teams to identify challenges and drive data-driven solutions.
- Enhance the training systems database to maintain simple training records and implement efficient management systems.
- Lead strategic initiatives, including new projects, directly or via delegation and mentorship.
- Build relationships with partners to develop strategy and roadmap for training across the organisation.
- Communicate executive updates and align plans, also driving communications strategy across the organisation.
- Mentor the Training & Development Specialist to expand their influence.
- Research and implement training best practices for all employees.
- Stay abreast of pertinent training topics and develop plans/content to deliver this training.
- Define optimal methods for ensuring employees can complete mandatory trainings and maintain records.
- Produce a KPI dashboard on training programmes and evaluate their impact.
- Identify opportunities and drive the development of additional e-learning courses.
- Drive training plans for people going into new roles (onboarding & continuous development).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a training manager role in a hi-tech manufacturing environment with a proven track record in adult learning theory.
- Excellent people management skills: builds effective teams, drives performance and develops talent.
- Strong interpersonal skills: effectively builds relationships and gets to know people.
- Results-driven individual who meets deadlines and KPIs.
- Strong IT skills, preferably familiar with Microsoft Excel, Keynote and web-based tools.
- Postgraduate qualification would be advantageous.
- Knowledge/experience of TWI, 5S, 8D, A3, Toyota KATA, 6Sigma, lean manufacturing is an advantage.
- Cross-industry experience is welcome.
- Prior experience in developing systems/tools to automate work preferable.
