Retail Store Operations Manager

A challenging opportunity has arisen to lead a busy supermarket store in a border county location between Cork and Limerick.
This role offers the chance to manage a large retail store with a vast offering of high-quality fresh food produce, autonomy to make business decisions, and a chance to develop and advance to Store Manager.
- Support manager to achieve sales and profit targets by implementing effective stock control and cash handling procedures.
- Provide a high level of customer service by being responsive to customer queries and addressing complaints in a timely manner.
- Ensure all staff abide by company policies and procedures by providing training and support as needed.
- Manage stock and cash control procedures, investigating and reporting any variances that occur.
- Develop and implement advertising, sales promotion, and display plans to drive sales growth.
- Manage controllable costs to maintain profitable operations by analyzing expenses and identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, and training new employees in conjunction with the HR department.
- Organize special promotions, displays, and events to drive customer engagement.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of retail management experience, preferably in an environment with fresh foods, and excellent organizational and time management skills.
A strong work ethic and ability to work in high-pressure situations are essential for this role.
