Job Description

The clinical psychologist will be part of a community mental health team based in South Dublin city. They will work on conducting psychological assessments, administering standardized tools and measures to evaluate mental health, personality, adaptive functioning, and intellectual abilities.

  • Conducting assessments and developing psychological formulations
  • Providing short-term therapeutic input using various approaches like cognitive analytical therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Participating in multidisciplinary activities such as individual care planning, reviewing, and developing referral and discharge processes
  • Offering consultation and support to the team in developing psychological formulations and applying them to organizational issues
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a recognized qualification as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with experience in Adult Mental Health. They must also have permission to work in Ireland and demonstrate a professional approach to work along with flexibility in their practice.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. They will also have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
