Practice Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead our growing firm and manage its daily operations.

Job Description

Overview: We provide a wide range of services, including audit, accounting, tax, payroll, bookkeeping, and business advice. Our clients include small and medium businesses, sole traders, partnerships, and not-for-profits in various sectors.

The Role: This is a hands-on position for a qualified accountant with solid experience in audits of small companies and CLGs. You should have strong skills in managing people and practice processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations and team workflows to deliver work on time
  • Supervise and review financial statements, management accounts, tax returns, and company and sole trader accounts
  • Lead audits for small companies and CLGs
  • Ensure compliance with CRO filing and other legal requirements
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Mentor junior staff and check their work for quality
  • Help with planning and improving the practice
  • Manage billing, work in progress, and debt collection

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification
  • At least 5 years post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice
  • Proven experience managing staff and practice operations
  • Good knowledge of Irish accounting standards, tax, audit, and CRO rules
  • Experience auditing small companies and CLGs essential
  • Familiar with Xero, Quick Books, Sage, IRIS, or similar software
