Early Years Educator Role Summary

Job Introduction:

As an early years educator, you play a vital role in shaping the lives of young children and supporting their holistic development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive, play-based educational programs that foster children's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth.
  • Evaluate and refine curriculum and activities to align with best practices and ensure centre success.
  • Provide engaging care and observations that empower colleagues and families to track each child's progress.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, professionalism, inclusion, and care within the childcare setting.
Requirements:
  • Essential Qualifications: Fetac Level 5 (or equivalent) in Early Childhood Care and Education, relevant experience in childcare, fluency in English, passion for working with children, reliability, empathy, and attention to detail.
  • Desirable Attributes: Experience applying Aistear and Siolta principles in practice, a willingness to grow and develop within a values-driven childcare environment.
