Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Financial Operations Manager and Assistant to the Assessors. The role involves supporting senior team members with finance-related tasks and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading on all finance workstreams, including procurement, financial management, and reporting.
  • Supporting the Head of Operations to meet financial management requirements, planning, forecasting, and budgetary oversight.
  • Setting up and overseeing systems for daily operational running of administrative requirements and finance keeping, including purchase orders, invoices, and receipting for services.
  • Advising on determinations in collaboration with the legal team.
  • Setting up and managing systems and policies to provide business support to the Secretary and growing team.
  • Acting as Assistant to the two Assessors to the Inquiry, ensuring administrative requirements are met to support their activities, working closely with the Inquiry team.
  • Supporting key internal meetings, overseeing commissions, collation of papers, and setting up and minuting meetings, with diary and travel management.
  • Providing administrative liaison between the Secretariat and senior leaders, preparing meeting papers, providing diary management support, and overall support.
Essential Criteria:
  • Able to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong prioritisation, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Experience with finance and understanding of financial record keeping and management.
  • Ability to manage administrative needs of a principal and/or organisation.
  • Quick problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication and ability to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance if not already held.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Security Check (SC) clearance would be beneficial.
