Quality Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Management Specialist to join our team. This role will play a critical part in driving excellence and consistency across our organisation.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, implementation and maintenance of our Quality Management System (QMS).
  • This will involve designing, implementing and maintaining a robust and compliant QMS tailored to industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and 50001.
Key Responsibilities
  • To oversee the quality management system architecture and ensure it is fit for purpose.
  • To lead annual management reviews with stakeholders and compile quality data, audit results and improvement actions.
  • To collaborate with Group functions to ensure seamless integration and alignment of country-specific quality requirements.
  • To assist in the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the Mercury Quality Cycle.
  • To leverage digital tools and platforms to enhance quality management processes.
  • To participate in the development and monitoring of key quality performance indicators (KPIs).
  • To plan, schedule and execute comprehensive internal audits and coordinate third-party and regulatory audits.
  • To develop and enforce supplier quality requirements and conduct supplier audits.
  • To identify, document and manage product and process nonconformances.
  • To lead structured root cause investigations using tools such as 5 Whys.
  • To maintain a structured process for capturing, documenting and sharing lessons learned from quality incidents.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior Q/EHS role in a large construction or engineering business.
  • A degree in Engineering or equivalent in Construction/Engineering background or Quality Management systems and auditing/Occupational EH&S.
  • Experience in Microsoft packages and knowledge of Digital Platforms such as BIM 360, ACC, Procore, Aconex and other Common Data Environment software.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification.

Desirable
  • Certified member of CQI, IEI, CIOB or other construction related institute.
  • Six Sigma Green or higher Belt.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certificate by PMI.
