Operations Performance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Excellence Specialist to join our team. As an Operational Excellence Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering excellence in end-to-end process improvement practices, methodologies and behaviours to achieve transversally operational and support services areas' efficiencies.

• You will demonstrate leadership to influence the right behaviours and enable alignment of priorities across areas.
• You will support the continuous improvement cycle aiming at the sustainable increase of unitary output (throughput per resource unit used).
• You will develop, deploy and maintain the most adequate methodologies and workflows, maximising workforce efficiency and adoption of the appropriate behaviours to enable engagement; derive metrics to measure plant and equipment capacity to support identification of bottlenecks, contributing to improved layouts while ensuring compliance with established guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of process optimization, quality, cGMPs, ICH/CFR guidelines, ISO Norms and industrial safety.

• Delivers excellence in end-to-end process improvement practices, methodologies and behaviours to achieve transversally operational and support services areas' efficiencies.
• Supports the continuous improvement cycle aiming at the sustainable increase of unitary output (throughput per resource unit used).
• Develops, deploys and maintains the most adequate methodologies and workflows, maximising workforce efficiency and adoption of the appropriate behaviours to enable engagement; derives metrics to measure plant and equipment capacity to support identification of bottlenecks, contributing to improved layouts while ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
• Implements productivity actions and defines priorities within own work to achieve goals (efficiency, efficacy and cost consistency).
• Drives, manages and trains teams that participate in Continuous Improvement Initiatives, problem solving and risk assessment groups.
• Coaches operational teams in daily communication meetings, ensuring defined methods are used in all areas.
• Solids waste management improves occupational health as well as environmental protection.

• University or equivalent qualification in a field of Science or Engineering or similar scientific field (mandatory).
• Lean and 6 Sigma training equivalent to Lean Leader level and/or Six Sigma Green Belt.
• Typically requires 3–5 years of relevant experience in Continuous Improvement.
• Experience in initiatives related to industrial settings and preferably in the application of cGMPs, ICH/CFR guidelines, ISO Norms and Industrial Safety guidelines.
• Previous participation in improvement projects, Lean tools and techniques (5S, Standardized Work, problem solving, Kaizen, process mapping, Poka Yoke, debottlenecking, SMED).
• Strong knowledge of Process Optimization.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of Quality, cGMPs, ICH/CFR guidelines, ISO Norms and Industrial Safety.
• Knowledge and application of statistical tools.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of the MS Office package.
• Must have the Knowledge, Experience and Skills to conduct tasks in accordance with the rules and procedures set down.
