Procurement Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for all aspects of procurement, including issuance of purchase orders, verification of acknowledgements, and coordination of material collections.
  • Expedite, reschedule, or cancel material deliveries as necessary to maintain alignment with fluctuating demand.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with shipping companies to guarantee timely collection of materials and receipt of expected deliveries.
  • Ensure certificates of conformance are available for all items prior to delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with the planning department and warehouses to ensure material availability meets changing production plans and customer demands.
  • Manage and maintain non-stock order books, including stationery.
  • Support new product introductions and re-sourcing of existing products.

Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate and up-to-date computer system records, ensuring planning system integrity, and reporting inventory levels. Assist in processing invoices and participating in the development and implementation of purchasing and planning policies and procedures.

Planning Obligations
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the planning model utilized within the organization.
  • Identify and propose improvements to planning processes and assist in the implementation of agreed-upon improvements.
  • Manage and maintain all planning parameters within the computer system, including safety stocks and re-order points.

As a Junior Buyer/Planner, you will work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating exceptional negotiation skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and fluency in English. A second European language is advantageous.

Experience and qualifications required include at least 1-2 years' experience in a purchasing environment, working with MRP systems, and education to certificate level (preferably degree) in a business-related discipline. APICS or IIPMM qualification is an advantage.
