Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Shift Technician to provide technical support and assist in daily operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with supervisors to ensure seamless machine operation and troubleshooting any processing issues that may arise.

To achieve this, the Shift Technician will execute relevant technical tasks on-shift to maintain optimal production performance, carry out regular services on machines to prevent downtime, and ensure smooth operation.

Additionally, the Shift Technician will provide coverage for the supervisor as needed, participate in continuous improvement projects, and ensure area, machines, and equipment are maintained in a safe and clean condition.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical and electronic systems associated with high volume manufacturing, excellent communication and organisational skills, and previous experience in a similar position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure seamless machine operation and troubleshoot any processing issues that may arise.
  • Execute relevant technical tasks on-shift to maintain optimal production performance.
  • Carry out regular services on machines to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operation.
  • Provide coverage for the supervisor as needed and participate in continuous improvement projects.
Requirements
  • Degree in a related field.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Good understanding of mechanical and electronic systems associated with high volume manufacturing.
  • Previous experience in a similar position.

The ideal candidate will be able to work on a four-cycle shift basis, including nights and weekends. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are also essential.
