Advanced Technical Support Specialist
Key Responsibilities- Apply a prioritized approach in value-driven engineering to achieve key opportunities in quality, service, and cost.
- Collaborate with engineering leaders to deliver strategic business objectives.
- Assist in the development of a high-performance manufacturing team proficient in process improvement and problem-solving using Six-Sigma tools.
- Provide technical leadership on all product and process issues.
- Monitor production line performance and execute structured event plans to address systemic issues impacting performance.
- Develop and implement supporting documentation, SOPs, and process work instructions aligned with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Lead technical improvements under the business's Continuous Improvement Program (CIP).
- Transfer and implement processes from development or other manufacturing facilities.
- Offer technical guidance for process/maintenance technicians and manufacturing/equipment engineers on the team.
- Provide engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring activities are completed and documented according to Stryker New Product Development Process.
- Perform process validation for products and processes; VP, IQ, OQ, PQ, and associated documentation.
- Maintain awareness of Quality Management Systems requirements at all times.
- Continuously monitor and report variables affecting business performance metrics, and proactively identify and resolve performance gaps.
- Comply with and enforce all Environment Health and Safety (EHS) requirements on site.
- Eliminate or manage material risks on the production floor in collaboration with Supplier Quality engineers.
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience is required.
- Proven project management skills through delivery of critical projects.
- At least 2-4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to provide technical direction, influence, and lead engineers, co-op students, technicians, and operators as needed.
- Capacity to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, dynamic, and results-driven environment.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, process improvement orientation, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a cohesive team.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to explore technological advancements.
- Effective decision-making and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of negotiating and influencing others.
