Membership Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Membership Manager to join our team in the Digital Repository of Ireland.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading research organization in the field of digital preservation and cultural heritage. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the membership database, building relationships with current and potential members, and contributing to various taskforces and projects.

  • Manage the membership database and customer relationship management system to monitor member engagement and deposits.
  • Work closely with members to assess their current needs and plan for future requirements, liaising with DRI staff as needed.
  • Chair the DRI membership taskforce and organize member events, such as the Members' Forum and coffee mornings.
  • Contribute to reports, project proposals, and other DRI duties as assigned.

Key qualifications include:

  • A degree in an area relevant to DRI's remit, such as humanities, social sciences, information, librarianship/archival studies, data management, or equivalent.
  • Significant experience working in the higher education or cultural sector, ideally in a research or research support role.
  • Skills and expertise in one or more areas, including digital preservation, digital repositories, archives, libraries, digital humanities, digital social sciences, digital cultural heritage, research data management, and metadata.
  • Evidence of skills in landscape analysis and strategic planning, excellent interpersonal skills, and experience in stakeholder engagement and event organization.
