Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and be comfortable working with senior management and other stakeholders to streamline R&D activities, organize multiple concurrent streams of technical development and drive delivery of key work against funding and business goals.

This role requires someone who is proactive in managing complex programmes of work under minimal direction and on their own initiative. You will need to think differently, be unafraid to make mistakes and take full ownership of project management, funding management, and delivery. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems collaboratively and can help us bring a game-changing platform technology to market.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Cross functional project management of multiple concurrent technical development activities.
  2. Orchestrate distributed planning activities within the organisation, establishing regular reviews and structure, with the support of the senior leadership team.
  3. Project financial management & projection, working in conjunction with the senior leadership team and finance team.
  4. Resource management across multiple work streams, projects, and external partners, along with resource reporting where required.
  5. Maintenance of the project level risk register and decision log.
  6. Coordinating joint activities with consortium partners as part of collaborative research projects.
  7. Management of plans, risk, and project costs in a structured and transparent manner.
  8. Challenging and developing working practices to continuously improve design & development effectiveness, establishing structure, reviews and reporting as appropriate.
  9. Communicating and influencing across all levels, as part of a multidisciplinary team.
