Job Title: Senior Design Manager

DRES Properties seeks a high-calibre Architect to deliver construction projects in the residential sector, including housing, duplexes and apartments.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement design management and coordination structure across the business, ensuring high design standards and robust construction status information throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain robust knowledge of design stages, coordination and mark-up drawings; ensure third-party design consultants comply with local building codes.
  • Work alongside planning and preconstruction teams to brief, procure and appoint suitably experienced design consultant partners.
  • Lead design team meetings across multiple projects within the business, ensuring design programmes are achieved and all design outputs comply with DRES Standard Unit Types.
  • Develop and maintain standard library of unit types, exploring new typologies and designs for cost efficiency and buildability.
  • Collaborate with DRES teams – planning, creative, commercial, construction and sales to integrate requirements within design information produced by third-party consultants.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • 10 years' experience in Architecture and/or developer-led residential housing, duplexes and apartments.
  • Degree in Architecture or other relevant qualifications.
  • Robust knowledge of planning and building regulations in Ireland and the UK.
  • Ability to lead and manage design teams, interrogate designs and provide mark-ups when required.
