**Job Title:** Business Development Manager

The role of a Business Development Manager involves identifying and developing new business opportunities for our hotels. This includes building relationships with key clients, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with internal teams to drive sales growth.

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who can source and win new business locally and globally across all owned business segments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the hotel industry and be able to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have experience working with CRM tools and be able to analyze market intelligence information to identify new business opportunities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Sourcing and winning new business locally and globally across all owned business segments.\
  • Building relationships with key clients and negotiating contracts.\
  • Collaborating with internal teams to drive sales growth.\
  • Developing and implementing effective sales strategies.\
  • Analyzing market intelligence information to identify new business opportunities.\
  • Using CRM tools to track and manage sales activity.\
  • Attending sales meetings and events, both internally and externally.\
  • Providing regular sales reports and updates to senior management.\
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales activity and performance metrics.\
  • Collaborating with the Account Management Team to nurture existing and secure new opportunities following the Dalata sales process.\
  • Instilling a culture of cross-selling, referrals, and sharing of leads.\
  • Participating in all sales activities including telesales, sales calls, corporate entertaining, fam trips, social events, and overseas sales trips, as necessary.\
  • Planning and forecasting for owned segments and identifying opportunities to ensure they fit with the hotels' business strategy.\
  • Undertaking monthly corporate tracking of corporate accounts in the hotels to monitor production and more importantly to identify any decreases and take necessary action to remedy.\
  • Collaborating with ADOS on rate strategy, budget planning, and forecasting for owned segments.\
  • Collaborating with ADOS on analysis of GDS production reports and market intelligence information to develop new leads from this business channel for the hotels.\
  • Timely production of monthly and ad-hoc reports.\
  • Executing actions from quarterly sales activity plans to support business needs.\
  • Maintaining a high level of commercial awareness and staying up-to-date with industry trends.\
  • Maintaining a professional image at all times.\
  • Complying with all relevant company policies and procedures.

**Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working within a similar position in hotels.\
  • Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.\
  • Commercially aware with strong analytical skills and understand business trends.\
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills.\
  • Sales focused and results driven.\
  • Strong negotiating skills.\
  • Able to develop and build long-lasting relationships through account management.\
  • Promote cross-selling into Dalata Hotel Group.\
  • Experience of working with global clients and agencies.\
  • Knowledge of the Galway market is desirable.
