Conflict Resolution Specialist

 

A leading legal firm is seeking a Conflict Resolution Specialist to join its Risk and Compliance team. This new position has been created to support the firm's risk management department. You will report to both the Senior Risk Manager and the Senior Professional Standards Lawyer. The successful candidate will be part of a team of 6, with opportunities for growth and professional development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct conflict searches and analyze results.
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and industry standards.
  • Review whether updates to existing mandates introduce conflict or compliance issues.
  • Liaise with partners and lawyers to resolve conflicts arising from scope changes.
  • Support firm-wide training on conflicts, compliance policies, and information barriers.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage related administration.
  • Provide reports and regular updates on assigned tasks.
  • Perform database searches to meet regulatory obligations.
  • Support ad hoc duties and relevant projects as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Highly numerate with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using systems and technology in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capable of managing high volumes of work accurately under pressure.
  • Strong communication and client service skills.
  • Ideally educated to degree level (or equivalent experience/training).
  • Experience with onboarding/compliance tools (desirable).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (essential).
