Vital Role: Heritage Preservation Specialist

At the forefront of preserving and making accessible Ireland's audiovisual heritage, we seek a versatile professional to support our mission. As part of our Archive Content Digitisation Programme, you will work on various projects, collaborating with teams and contributing to the development of our archives.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver daily targets for pre- and post-digitisation activities, ensuring efficient processes and suggesting improvements where possible.
- Work in other areas of the archive as required, participating in its overall development when needed.
Primary Activities Include:
- Manual handling of physical carriers, including picking, cleaning, labelling, and packing before transport to digitisation service providers.
- Diligent data entry as required.
- Ingest activities and quality checks of digital content post-digitisation.
A successful candidate will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Their attention to detail and analytical mindset will serve them well in this role.
