The Role
Reporting to the Site Director, the Head of Operations, Membrane & Natrix Operations is fully responsible for leading operations activities within one of the site's key manufacturing areas.
This role is a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for developing and implementing overall strategic direction for the site.
The Head of Operations, Membrane & Natrix Operations is accountable for on-time delivery of quality products to our customers in a cost-efficient and safe way through the development and execution of operating plans within our Cork manufacturing plant across multiple areas and teams including a high-volume process lines and Natrix production.
Position Responsibilities
Strategic Operations Management: Proven ability to develop and implement production strategies that align with overall business goals, ensuring operational efficiency, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
Operational Excellence & Lean Expertise: Strong background in leading operational excellence programs, including Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on reducing waste and improving process efficiency.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Strong capability in leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on enabling autonomous teams and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
Data-driven Decision Making: Experience in driving the adoption of advanced technologies (e.g., automation, digital twins, predictive analytics) to enhance production capabilities, improve efficiency, and maintain competitiveness.
Change Management Skills: Strong background in driving organizational change initiatives; while fostering a culture of adaptability and resilience among all teams.
Advanced Budgeting and Financial Acumen: Proficiency in developing and managing large-scale Operations budgets, controlling costs, and making strategic financial decisions.
(i.e. labor efficiency, Ops Leverage, COGS, Operating Variance, Depreciations, etc.).
Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Science, Engineering, or related/equivalent field.
Master's degree in the mentioned fields would be an advantage.
Minimum 5-10 years experience within Plant Management, Supply Chain, Operations or relevant strategic function.
Track record in progressive leadership roles leading multifunctional teams.
Demonstrated change management; ability to define, establish, and complete a strategic and cultural vision by inspiring change across multifunctional teams and the broader organisation.
