Contract type: Initial contract until August 2025 with an opportunity to extend for a further 12-24 months as part of the Jameson International Brand Ambassador Programme (performance dependent)
Important: For visa eligibility purposes, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality or a related field and have a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification, full-time, work experience in marketing or the drinks/hospitality industry.

Jameson International Brand Ambassador Programme
The Jameson International Brand Ambassador Programme was established in 1991 and over 500 Brand Ambassadors have been successfully placed since then. The programme is an integral part of Jameson’s global strategy & has served as a starting point for many within Pernod Ricard. We currently have over 70 Brand Ambassadors placed in over 40 markets worldwide.
Jameson International Brand Ambassador
The Jameson International Brand Ambassador Programme offers candidates the opportunity to work as a Jameson Brand Ambassador in an international market. As part of the Jameson International Marketing Team (IMT) you will join the local Pernod Ricard team in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
As a Jameson Brand Ambassador, you will kick start your career in the drinks industry & hone your commercial instincts on a global stage, working for the world’s bestselling Irish whiskey brand abroad.
You will travel to the market location of your placement & work across a wide range of activities such as brand activation, event planning, brand education, mentoring, sales and marketing. You will work with your local Pernod Ricard team and be on first name terms with bartenders, distributors, partner agencies & event organisers.
What does the role of Jameson Brand Ambassador involve?
80-90% field based:
You’ll share your new-found whiskey wisdom with new faces all around the world educating consumers, distributors & sales teams about the history, heritage & craft credentials of Jameson Irish Whiskey. Supporting the brand’s creative activities will keep your days varied & exciting
10-20% office based:
Supporting your local Pernod Ricard team in the planning, execution & evaluation of Jameson activations will bring both you & the brand to new places. This will also involve some of the formalities such as expenses, monthly reports & market insights.
Core areas of the role include:
Brand Education – support the local sales team in educating staff in trade accounts with a focus on bartender education in key outlets. Identify & conduct tastings / education for groups of key influencers & target consumers to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the Jameson brand history, heritage & production process,
Brand Development - Collaborate with local brand and sales teams to identify and target Jameson on-trade accounts, aligning efforts with the local brand plan to build brand awareness and explore growth opportunities. Following the local brand team's lead and activation strategy, establish relationships and tailored development plans for each target venue, incorporating consumer and trade promotions, bar staff training, and brand visibility initiatives. Engage and convert key influencers and target consumers to the brand. Identify relevant brand development opportunities, such as trade associations and events, and present these ideas to the local brand team.
Content Creation - draw on your creative side to capture high quality brand content to share on local & global brand channels.
Direct support to Brand Team - assist in executing, monitoring, and assessing planned marketing activities in bars and other venues. Provide and showcase Jameson best practices to help design and carry out important marketing activities and events in both on-trade and retail environments. Gather and present market insights by researching, analysing, and reporting on competitors and industry trends.
What do we look for?
- Creative, innovative, self-starter
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of full-time working experience in marketing, hospitality or the drinks industry.
- Full clean driver’s license mandatory
- Legal right to work in Ireland
- Outgoing, sociable personality with strong communication & presentation skills
- Positive ‘can do’ attitude, flexible
- Good team player, creative, innovative & collaborative
- Independent, self-motivated & can work off your own initiative
- Reliable & hard working
- Able to adapt to new countries, cultures, & situations
- Trade &/or Sales experience favourable, but not essential
- Experience / interest in travel
- Interest in Music, Art & Culture an advantage
