Finance Business Partner - Supply Chain Position at Alexion in Dublin, Ireland

What You'll Do:

The Finance Business partner - Supply Chain will play a crucial role in collaborating with the Global Supply Chain organization to enhance financial planning and analysis, focusing on inventory forecasting, strategic sourcing, Opex/Headcount. This role requires a quick learner with strong analytical skills, able to work independently and as part of a dynamic team, constantly striving to improve processes.

The Finance Business partner - Supply Chain role involves providing end-to-end finance business partnering for the Global Supply Chain.

You'll Be Responsible for:

  • Partnering with Supply Chain to enhance inventory forecasting, streamlining information sources for both Supply Chain and Finance, and managing internal reporting to Alexion/Astra Zeneca.
  • Scenario planning on inventory forecasting to reflect changing Demand & Supply Scenarios.
  • Collaborating with Inventory planning team on inventory holding policies/MOH decisions.
  • Preparing inventory forecasts by quarter for the current year and MTP, and by year for LTP.
  • Explaining monthly, quarterly, yearly, and mid-term Inventory variances versus previous outlooks/commitments, identifying change drivers.
  • Supporting initiatives to optimize inventory levels and raw material holding.
  • Reviewing inventory assessments for potential improvements and making recommendations.
  • Developing templates for budget and strategic planning processes.
  • Driving cost awareness and controlling costs according to Alexion Policies.
  • Participating in Supply Chain continuous improvement projects and cross-training in other functional areas in FP&A.

You'll Need to Have:

  • > 5 years of operations experience, preferably in the Biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CPA).
  • Experience in a US multinational.
  • Solid understanding of Inventory and knowledge of SAP.
  • Financial modeling skills, and process-driven experience in process improvement/lean/Six Sigma.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

We Would Prefer for You to Have:

  • MBA, Anaplan experience.
  • In-depth understanding of Inventory Management components.
  • Drive and curiosity to hold accountable for commitments and seek continuous improvement.
  • Storytelling abilities to articulate issues and solutions effectively.
