Finance Business Partner | Catering Brand | Dublin | Salaries between 50,000 and 60,000 euro.

The position reports to the Head of Commercial Finance and is an integral part of the broader Commercial finance team. The job will mainly involve field work, assisting the operations teams in enhancing performance across their contract portfolio. A key factor for success in this role is providing actionable management insights and executing value-adding initiatives.

The ideal candidate should ideally be a qualified accountant (preferred) with prior commercial experience in a relevant sector (mandatory). They must possess strong communication skills, experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships, and the ability to devise and implement initiatives.

Financial operations and business partnering

  • Accurate and timely completion of local bookwork.
  • Ensuring costs and revenues are correctly recorded and allocated.
  • Precision in areas such as purchasing, payroll, and stock management following best practices.
  • Efficient management of purchase orders.
  • Establishing productive relationships with Operations, Sales, Procurement, etc., to drive financial outcomes.

Profitability

  • Achieving financial goals for both the company and its clients.
  • Implementing enhancements in profitability and cost optimization in crucial areas like pricing strategies, menu optimization, procurement processes, and labor efficiency.
  • Managing working capital effectively to maximize cash flow.
  • Meeting group cash targets.
  • Enhancing key metrics such as debtor days, cash collection, overdue debts, and stock turnover.

Forecasting & budgets

  • Developing accurate forecasts and budgets based on the most reliable information available.
  • Creating precise flash forecasts.
  • Producing clear, high-quality management accounts (P&L) that trigger actionable insights.
  • Maintaining a clean and well-organized balance sheet without lingering historic issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

The ideal candidate

  • A business-oriented mindset.
  • Expertise in process enhancement.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling.
  • Experience in managing senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Advanced skills in Excel.
  • Commercial knowledge of the hospitality sector gained through previous roles in contract catering or restaurant/bar groups.
