Learning & Development Manager - Retail

Our Learning & Development teams are crucial for our business. You'll work alongside top specialists in the field, contributing your own ideas to shape customer experiences within our innovative team.

As a Learning and Development Specialist, you'll design and deliver training programs for colleagues at all levels in our stores. Collaborating with Area and Store Managers, as well as management teams, you'll enhance overall store operations. Your focus includes fostering a positive learning culture, addressing current and future capability needs of retail colleagues, and promoting continuous professional development to ensure exceptional customer experiences.

What You'll Do
In this role, you'll collaborate with individuals from various skill sets on a daily basis. Here's what you'll be doing:
  • Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with the People & Culture (P&C) team and other retail functions to provide outstanding learning experiences to all retail colleagues, ensuring effective training and development opportunities
  • Promote Continuous Professional Development: Foster a culture of ongoing professional development within the organization, encouraging employees to enhance their skills through continuous learning initiatives
  • Champion a Coaching Culture: Play a significant role in establishing a coaching culture, highlighting coaching as a valuable tool for employee growth and skill development
  • Source and Design Learning Solutions: Identify and develop learning solutions, both internally and externally, tailored to address learning needs. Contribute to designing global learning solutions and customized blended learning programs
  • Apply Adult Learning Theories: Utilize adult learning theories to tailor learning interventions to meet the unique needs of adult learners
  • Manage Training Budgets and Digital Learning: Handle training budgets efficiently, leveraging digital tools to create flexible and innovative learning programs
  • Evaluate Learning Effectiveness: Monitor the transfer of learning to colleagues at all levels, making data-driven decisions to enhance learning outcomes
  • Stay Informed and Collaborate Globally: Keep abreast of business developments and collaborate with the Global Retail L&D network to plan future projects, representing ROI's voice in these discussions
What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years of L&D experience or L&D content handling within a broader role
  • Experience in designing and delivering blended L&D interventions in a fast-paced, multi-site organization
  • Creative and innovative approach to training
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills
  • Excellent knowledge of digital content programs like Articulate and familiarity with tools like Canva, MySimpleShow, or Vyond
  • Effective communication and relationship-building abilities across all organizational levels
