What is the opportunity

In this role, you will work as an Agency Relationship Manager, in the management and development of key relationships - with both Borrowers and other Lenders - as they seek to grow and develop their businesses in turn. You will provide an outstanding service, acting as the first point of contact on everything relating to these debt facilities. This role affords an opportunity to work with some of the Bank's largest and most ambitious customers, across diverse industries and in multiple jurisdictions. You will work with and learn from quality senior management teams, experienced lenders and top class legal and advisory firms in a multifaceted, professional and international environment.

*This is an 18 month FTC*

In this role you will:
  • Documenting, closing and managing debt transactions, as Agent, to include the observation of loan documentation and the taking of security;
  • Developing and managing a portfolio of customers, including attendance at bank meetings (occasionally overseas), liaison with Borrowers, Lenders and other partners;
  • Partnering with internal Bank departments, in particular Corporate & Commercial Banking Origination and Portfolio Management teams, Loans Administration, Compliance, Invoice Discounting and Markets and Treasury;
  • Assisting in the development of new and existing business to meet growth targets;
  • Participation in local projects and initiatives across Corporate & Commercial Banking from time to time and where Agency representation is required;
  • Making a strong contribution to and playing your part in an agile and impactful team, in order to meet and to exceed customer expectations.
What will make you stand out

Seasoned experience in the arrangement and/or management of club and syndicated loans. This means you have experience in the drafting and agreement of Loan Market Association (LMA) loan documentation. This means you may also have experience of working in a Corporate and Commercial Banking credit or lending environment.

You have a risk based mentality, with an ability to formulate and reach risk and compliance grounded decisions. You are numerate with excellent attention to detail and you have excellent written and verbal communication abilities. You have a strong customer focus, are highly accountable and have a problem solving approach. You have a passion for delivering quality results. We are looking for someone with super organisational abilities, able to quickly identify and balance contending priorities, with a practical approach.

More about the team

The Agency & Transaction Support business is a long and very well established business, providing Facility and Security Agency services to Borrowers with club / syndicated debt facilities comprising two or more Lenders. The team co-ordinates debt transactions domestically and internationally and is responsible for handling all of the flows - documentation, cash and information - between Borrowers and their often large syndicates of Lenders.

The Agency & Transaction Support Team sit within the Customer Products & Solutions team which centralises responsibility for the division's product offerings including FX & Interest Rate Hedging, Trade Finance, Deposits and Structured Products. This area also has responsibility for divisional deposits and the divisional customer and sustainability strategy, collaborating seamlessly with the SME Sectors, Customer Journeys and Segment Development teams to enhance customer experiences and brand positioning.

This role is Dublin based, but the team also has an office in London. Customers are based in Ireland, Britain, France, Germany, Spain and the US, and across the Bank's Corporate, Property, Leveraged and Project Finance businesses. We work to reduce the complexity of a multi-banked relationship, providing a critical "value-add" in terms of debt structuring, debt restructuring, documentation negotiation and debt co-ordination services. The team also has a tailored Escrow Agency service.
