New Business Development Manager – ICT Services & Solutions

Company Overview:

A leading provider of ICT Services & Solutions is experiencing significant growth and is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving new business, managing customer relationships, and contributing to the long-term success of the company.

About the Role:

This role is focused on sourcing and onboarding new corporate customers, transitioning them into active accounts, and developing lasting business relationships. Initially, the emphasis will be on business development, with a gradual transition into account management as relationships deepen.

Key responsibilities will include identifying new business opportunities, leveraging your professional network, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored ICT solutions. The role is office-based, with potential for hybrid work based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the ICT Services & Solutions Sales Team, reporting to the Sales Manager.
  • Focus initially on sourcing new business opportunities and converting them into corporate customers.
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with onboarded customers, expanding their business within the company's offerings.
  • Build and maintain a B2B network of IT procurement decision-makers through self-initiated outreach and professional networking.
  • Leverage leads provided through marketing campaigns, dormant account lists, and cross-fertilization opportunities.
  • Engage proactively with customers to match their requirements to the company's service portfolio.
  • Conduct targeted campaigns based on market analysis and sales manager direction.
  • Prepare detailed proposals, tenders, and quotations for new business opportunities.
  • Manage customer records in CRM/PSA systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to meet sales and business goals.
  • Demonstrate a strong commercial awareness and ability to drive the sales process independently.
  • Participate in customer meetings, networking events, and training sessions as required.
  • Comply with company data protection and information security protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Third-level qualification (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) preferred; business and technical disciplines considered.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an ICT Managed Services sales role, ideally with a service provider or reseller.
  • Key vendor certifications (HPE, Microsoft, Sophos, Datto) are essential; candidates should be willing to achieve these within 12 months if not already certified.
  • Proven track record of developing a relational network of B2B IT decision-makers.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong IT skills with prior experience using CRM systems.
  • Full, clean driver's license (eligible to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland).
  • Previous experience with tender and professional report writing is essential.
  • Project management experience or qualifications are an advantage.
