Senior Manager, Business Development
As a Senior Manager of Business Development, you'll play a crucial role in our growth strategy by leading a team of Business Development Representatives, who are connecting with e-commerce leaders, qualifying new business opportunities, and setting up meetings for our enterprise sales executives. We are looking for an experienced and passionate sales leader with the ambition and drive to accelerate our top of funnel strategy.
Responsibilities
- Inspire and motivate a team of Business Development Representatives, ensuring that they have the knowledge, tools and resources required to exceed their targets.
- Monitor team performance against KPIs, providing regular reporting and insights to senior management, and pivoting strategy where required to surpass objectives.
- Refine prospecting workflows, cadence strategies, and lead qualification processes to maximize efficiency and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with the regional sales leads to drive alignment between BDR activities and their respective go-to-market strategies.
- Identify process enhancements and work with the sales enablement team to implement changes that drive efficiency, data quality and performance.
- Partner with the Digital Marketing team to create targeted and engaging campaigns for prospective enterprise retailers.
- Partner with our Product Marketing team to create resources and assets that support effective outreach.
- Provide feedback and coaching through regular 1-1s, call listening and content reviews to develop talent across the team.
- Use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and enhance our top of funnel strategy, globally.
Requirements
- 5+ years of successful sales experience in a BDR role or sales related role.
- 3+ years of experience in a sales leadership role with a proven track record of building and implementing sales strategies that drive high performance.
- A highly motivated, tenacious and results-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can easily navigate change.
- A strong communicator with high attention to detail and a customer-centric approach, who is comfortable presenting new ideas and challenging the status quo.
- Strong data-driven approach to managing and optimizing team performance.
- A passionate leader with proven experience coaching and nurturing talent to exceed team targets.
- Proficiency in Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems, alongside strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong listening, presentation, and time management abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of e-commerce, fashion brands, and retailers is a plus.
