The Assets and Repairs Manager position requires a highly skilled professional to oversee the effective management of housing stock. This involves implementing stock condition and annual maintenance programmes, managing internal and external audits, providing technical oversight, and collaborating with colleagues to bring a whole organisation perspective.

This role demands strong leadership in delivering asset management services, ensuring sustainable quality homes and commitment to the ethos of the trust.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the stock condition survey programme to ensure accurate stock data is collated and maintained.
  • Carry out defect diagnosis inspections, pre and post inspections of repair work, and prepare reports.
  • Ensure continuous improvement and value for money through reviewing costs via measures and budget monitoring.
  • Monitor asset performance through reporting, including life cycle and asset performance analysis for operations and maintenance.
  • Liaise with participants and contractors on the cyclical planned programme and quality control.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a degree (level 8 NFQ) required in Building Surveying or equivalent technical qualification relevant to the role.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar technical role.
  • A full driving licence and ability to meet mobility requirements of the post.
  • Strong arithmetical, financial control, and budget management skills.
