Director of Sales Role Summary

The Director of Sales will lead business development in the leisure travel market and support sales activities across various segments. This role reports to the Group Director of Sales, overseeing daily operations, guiding team performance, and aligning with overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Planning: Develop targeted sales strategies for leisure, MICE, and corporate segments, aligning with company goals.
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, independent sales missions, and other strategic face-to-face sales opportunities to drive brand awareness and revenue growth.
  • Cultivate relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, independent travel advisors, and group organisers to increase room nights and overall revenue in the leisure segment.
  • Develop MICE opportunities by promoting collection offerings.


Departmental Management & Leadership:

  • Support the Group Director of Sales in overseeing daily management of the sales department, including monitoring sales activities, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring team alignment with revenue goals.
  • Lead, motivate, and guide the sales team to meet targets across leisure, MICE, and corporate segments.


Sales Execution & Client Engagement:

  • Actively engage with key clients to nurture relationships and secure new business, including direct sales calls, site visits, and hosting client meetings.
  • Oversight of proposals, contracts, and presentations to potential clients for both leisure and corporate groups.


Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting:

  • Assist in the development and management of the sales budget, ensuring proper allocation of resources for leisure, MICE, and corporate segments.
  • Conduct regular sales forecasts and analyze performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
