Job Title: Event Manager and Administrative Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Event Manager and Administrative Lead to oversee the effective operation of our conference centre. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional events.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating all on-site events, including conferences, open days, and exhibitions. They will also manage administrative support for various programmes across the campus, ensuring alignment with our organisational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operation of the conference centre, including event planning, logistics, and execution.
  • Lead and coordinate all on-site events, working closely with stakeholders and users to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Manage administrative support for various programmes across the campus, including reception, stores, and staff offices.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, procurement policies, and governance procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Campus Operations Manager to deliver high-quality services and maintain a positive working environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in business administration or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5 years of relevant senior administration experience, including people management and resource allocation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other software applications.
  • Experience in managing budgets, financial reporting, and procurement processes.
