Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

Description:

This role involves extensive travel throughout Ireland and occasional visits to the UK or supplier sites in Spain and Italy.

Candidates with electrical or mechatronics backgrounds will find this position appealing.

Experience in the food industry or production would be a significant advantage.

This is a permanent, on-site position at our Sligo headquarters, with approximately 60-80% travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and servicing of our product range.
  • Providing training to clients' maintenance teams, on-site evaluations, installation of machine upgrades, and equipment testing.
  • Handling customer calls, repairing equipment, troubleshooting products, conducting in-house testing, and demos.
  • Supporting the commissioning process by wiring control panels, motors, e-stops, and isolators.

Requirements:

  • Electrical or instrumentation expertise with relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with installing, training, calibrating, repairing, and maintaining advanced technical equipment.
  • Field service and/or troubleshooting experience.
  • A working knowledge of computers and common software packages.
  • Knowledge of MS SQL is advantageous.
  • The ability to create technical presentations and deliver effective training.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with flexibility regarding work location and hours.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A customer-focused approach, with a passion for building strong relationships with internal and external customers. Experience in electronics or instrumentation.
