This dynamic role involves accurately processing and verifying incoming invoices for goods and services to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Maintaining organised accounts payable records is essential, including logging, tracking, and filing of invoices.
Key responsibilities include reconciling transactions by verifying entries and comparing system reports with account balances, allocating expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centres by analysing invoices and expense reports, recording entries, and ensuring accuracy.
Able to investigate and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, invoices, or payments promptly. Effective time management and organisational skills are required to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate effectively with finance team members and external vendors. A proactive problem-solver who can work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced accounts payable environment.
- Proficiency in Intact IQ is a strong advantage.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with finance team members and external vendors.
- A proactive problem-solver who can work independently and as part of a team.
