Job Title

The primary objective of the Arrears Support Unit Manager is to manage borrower accounts and identify potential difficulties. To achieve this goal, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing a portfolio of borrower accounts to identify borrowers in difficulty.
  • Establishing the reason for the borrower's arrears and working with borrowers to find a solution.

In addition to managing financial targets and customer service, the Relationship Manager Arrears Support Unit will also have business targets to achieve. These targets must be met while adhering to controlled policies and procedures, providing exceptional customer service, and minimizing risk.

  • Generate revenue from a portfolio of accounts in line with monthly targets.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating with customers in a clear and concise manner, meeting with Borrowers as required, adhering to service plan including rotas and call targets, and recording expressions of dissatisfaction and customer complaints on the relevant customer complaints System.
  • Conduct all tasks in a manner compliant with all policies, procedures, and legislative requirements. Ensure all accounts are reviewed and managed in line with Company procedures. Ensure all accounts are escalated as appropriate without unnecessary delay.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role. The ability to influence and persuade Borrowers to resolve their arrears situations is also crucial.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent (Essential)
  • Accredited Product Adviser (Desirable)
  • Qualified Financial Adviser (Desirable)
