The role of Senior Accountant/Finance Manager involves leading the financial management function and overseeing all aspects of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This includes reviewing costs and implementing processes to achieve cost savings, working closely with other departments to ensure understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs), and reviewing margins for potential improvements.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing and implementing financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
- Preparing and reviewing weekly revenue and payroll forecasts, as well as year-end forecasts.
- Leading the month-end process, including preparing the month-end lead schedule and agreeing with the finance controller.
- Creditor and debtor management, ensuring accurate and timely processing of journals and reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts.
- Ensuring the monthly management accounts accurately reflect trade both current and future.
- Proven experience in a senior accounting or finance role, preferably from a small to medium-sized practice or industry.
- Ability to progress career rapidly, with opportunities for advancement within the organization.
