Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative technical support specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and troubleshooting services for hardware and communication systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot field issues with hardware and communications set, including CHARMS, cabling, I/O configuration, and Ethernet Addressing.
  • Support commissioning and qualification activities for hardware and software systems.
  • Complete system updates to correct issues identified under site change process.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to site teams on hardware setup and configuration.
  • Liaise with site electrical contractors during investigations to identify root cause of issues and solutions.
  • Coordinate tasks to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate status with site teams and management.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 4+ years experience in a similar role, preferably within the life sciences industries.
  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience with advanced degree.
  • Experience designing and programming control systems, with emphasis on DeltaV DCS.
  • S88 batch process control within the (Bio)Pharma sector.
  • Lead teams of engineers and manage project resources scheduling task assignments.
  • Batch process upgrading on DeltaV platform for Pharmaceutical clients.
  • Interact with customers for reviewing design specifications and test specifications.
  • Working knowledge of other control system platforms desirable.
  • Experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA an advantage.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with regulated industry standards, including exposure to cGMP, GAMP and 21 CFR Part 11.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
