Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users with hardware and software issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolving complex technical issues related to hardware and software problems
  • Providing expert-level support and assistance to end-users
  • Collaborating with the helpdesk team to resolve escalated issues
  • Documenting and communicating solutions to issues
  • Working with Active Directory to create users, perform password resets, account removals/transfers, Group Policy, and User Permissions
  • Dealing with end-user hardware and software problems that cannot be resolved by the helpdesk
  • Previous experience in dealing with at least 3 of the following: Citrix, Mobile Phones, Audio-visual, VMWare, Windows Updates, and releasing emails or websites blocked by an email or web filter
  • Previous experience in dealing with Windows Server including installation, monitoring, and patching

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years' experience working in a Level 2 Desktop Role
  • Previous experience working with Active Directory creating users, performing password resets, account removals/transfers, Group Policy, and User Permissions
  • Previous experience in dealing with all end-user hardware and software problems that cannot be resolved by the helpdesk
  • Previous experience in dealing with at least 3 of the following: Citrix, Mobile Phones, Audio-visual, VMWare, Windows Updates, and releasing emails or websites blocked by an email or web filter
  • Previous experience in dealing with Windows Server including installation, monitoring, and patching
