Desktop Technical Specialist Role
This position is a fantastic opportunity to work with a wide range of technical challenges and develop your skills in desktop support. As a Desktop Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for resolving complex technical issues, documenting solutions, and communicating effectively with end-users.
Responsibilities:
- Providing advanced technical support for hardware and software problems that cannot be resolved by the Helpdesk team;
- Documenting and communicating solutions to technical issues;
- Working with Active Directory to create users, reset passwords, manage account transfers and Group Policy; and
- Dealing with all end-user hardware and software problems that cannot be resolved by the helpdesk, including local software, network connectivity, printing, PC performance, mobile phones, audio-visual equipment, Windows updates, and email and web filtering.
Requirements:
- At least 6 years' experience working in a Level 2 Desktop role;
- Previous experience working with Active Directory, creating users, resetting passwords, managing account transfers and group policy;
- Previous experience dealing with all end-user hardware and software problems that cannot be resolved by the helpdesk, including local software, network connectivity, printing, PC performance;
- Previous experience dealing with at least three of the following: Citrix, mobile phones, audio-visual equipment, VMWare, Windows updates, and email/web filtering;
- Previous experience dealing with Windows Server, including installation, monitoring, and patching.
