
Desktop Support Specialist

This is a permanent position based in Dublin, reporting to the IT Service Manager.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and future planning needs of the company's desktop environment. This includes monitoring performance of desktop infrastructure and suggesting improvements. They will also evaluate applications and software patches for desktop applications, as well as configure Office 365 for end-users. Additionally, they will image hardware and manage inventory through the full Asset Management Life Cycle.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and future planning needs of the desktop environment.
- Monitor performance of desktop infrastructure and suggest improvements.
- Evaluate applications and software patches for desktop applications.
- End-User/Client facing configuration of Office 365.
- Image Hardware.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 1+ years hand-on desktop support experience in a busy IT environment.
- Experience with SCCM necessary, with Peer Caching and patching best practice.
- ManageEngine ADSS desirable.
- Remote and on-site PC fault diagnosis/troubleshooting skills.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with PC hardware.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Win10/11, Microsoft365, Citrix, Printing, Symantec Antivirus, VPN,SCCM.
