Payroll Operations Specialist

Job Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a professional services firm as a Payroll Administrator on an 18-month fixed-term contract. This role is part of the internal payroll team, supporting payroll operations across multiple entities and ensuring delivery of a high-quality payroll service in line with local legislation and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing & Administration: Collate and prepare all inputs in advance of payroll deadlines, support end-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities, process monthly PAYE submissions on ROS, manage voluntary deductions, including updates and reconciliations.
- Employee Support & Queries: Respond to employee requests and queries via the internal ticketing platform, escalate complex queries when necessary, maintain excellent employee service standards.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure payroll compliance with GDPR and internal policies, maintain a high level of confidentiality across all payroll activities, support payroll audits and process reviews.
- Projects & Continuous Improvement: Assist payroll peers with special projects related to payroll function, identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency, collaborate closely with HR and Finance to ensure smooth payroll operations.
Requirements:
- Qualifications & Experience: IPASS qualification (essential), end-to-end payroll processing experience, experience with MegaPay desirable but not essential.
- Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills, including data validation and analysis, experience managing high volumes of payroll data, familiarity with HR/Finance systems such as Workday is an advantage.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, proactive approach to problem solving and process improvement.
