Service Lines:Audit
As a member of our Audit team, you will learn how businesses operate, gain an understanding of their financial processes and controls, in order to provide a robust independent challenge to ensure high quality financial statements.
You will conduct a thorough, risk-focused review on a range of client's financial records, processes, and controls. As part of the Audit graduate programme, you'll study towards the ACA or ACCA qualification immediately - but don't worry you won't be alone. We'll be with you every step of the way.
TaxA career in tax is more than just becoming a tax adviser, you'll be part of our Tax team, diving into the intricate world of tax laws, both in the Ireland and internationally. You'll apply them into real-life solutions for our clients, help clients save money, mitigate tax risks, navigate the complex landscape of reporting requirements, and help create value.
Our business areas within Tax includes corporate tax, VAT, global employer solutions, private client, and transfer pricing. You will have the opportunity in the early part of your training contract to develop your experience in a specific area of tax and will be supported to develop a core specialism as your career progresses at RSM.
ConsultingOur team of consultants work with our clients strategically and operationally to support and integrate the key pillars of success; people, technology, finance, and growth. In our Consulting team, you will work with a range of organisations to identify growth opportunities and build strategies to realise value for the shareholders.
The graduate opportunities available in Consulting are in the below service lines. Should you select a training programme with restructuring advisory, corporate finance or outsourcing, you'll work towards getting your accounting qualification either via the ACA or ACCA routes. Whereas if you select a graduate programme in transformation, HR and change, forensic and investigation services, or risk and governance services, you'll be provided with the opportunity to attend a relevant external course to develop your skills.
Restructuring advisoryOur restructuring team assist clients in protecting, enhancing, and realising stakeholder value during periods of change and challenging financial situations. They offer expert advice on working capital, balance sheet restructuring, debt refinancing, and supporting key stakeholders through the implementation of a solution, which may include an insolvency process.
Corporate financeOur corporate finance team works with organisations at every stage of their growth journey, from mergers and acquisitions to strategic business planning. We deliver expert advice that drives value - providing in-depth due diligence, independent valuations, and tailored fundraising support. Our team also develops robust financial models to guide decision-making and mitigate risk.
As a graduate, you'll gain hands-on experience across diverse projects and industries, working closely with senior advisors and clients. You'll be part of a collaborative, dynamic environment where your ideas are heard, your skills are developed, and your career ambitions are supported.
Finance function supportAt RSM Ireland, we act as an extension of our clients' finance teams, helping them navigate an increasingly complex financial and regulatory environment. Our outsourcing specialists provide tailored support across core finance functions including management accounting, payroll, company secretarial and financial reporting.
We deliver timely, accurate insights and streamline processes to enhance operational efficiency, support strategic decision-making, and ensure full compliance with Irish and international standards. Whether supporting domestic businesses or those with cross-border operations, we help clients meet their obligations with confidence and focus on driving growth.
Transformation, HR and changeOur transformation, HR and change management team primarily focused on providing value added services with a view to enhancing and optimising the most valuable asset a company has, people. We provide a broad range of people consulting solutions including operational HR support (e.g. HR and employment law advice, recruitment support, training) alongside more strategic interventions to enhance organisational effectiveness (e.g. organisational design, organisational culture, leadership development).
As a graduate, you will have the opportunity to provide support on both areas of work to develop a broad base of experience, skills and knowledge.
Forensic and investigation servicesOur forensic and investigation services practice is a multi-disciplinary team with expertise in the areas of dispute and litigation support, forensic accounting and financial investigation, workplace investigations and protected disclosures, underpinned by forensic technologies. We have an established track record in providing these services to law firms, insurers, and private sector clients, as well as the public sector, regulatory authorities, semi-state bodies, across the spectrum of industry.
Being part of an integrated global network of firms, we conduct cross-border assignments seamlessly for multi-jurisdictional matters, leveraging and deploying international expertise across a broad range of sectors a specialism.
Risk and governanceOur risk and governance service offering helps clients navigate an increasingly complex risk and regulatory landscape. We support organisations in strengthening their internal control environments, enhancing governance frameworks, and building resilience against emerging threats such as cyber risk and regulatory change.
As a graduate in risk and governance, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of services including: internal audit and controls, technology risk and cyber assurance, regulatory compliance and consulting (e.g. SOX, DORA, GDPR, EU AI Act, DSA, DMA, ESG, AML), control assurance (ISAE 3402, SOC 1 & SOC 2), corporate governance and risk management.
