Job Overview

EHS Manager Job Description

This senior role is responsible for leading the development and implementation of our company's Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, strategies, and goals. The successful candidate will have expert knowledge in EHS practices and be able to promote a positive culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective EHS management systems that ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.

  • Promote a safety awareness culture through collaborative efforts, ensuring that company values are demonstrated in daily leadership style.

  • Identify and assess hazards associated with existing and new processes, equipment, and locations, implementing corrective actions as needed.

  • Closely coordinate and support health and safety root cause analysis and risk assessments with value stream safety representatives.

  • Conduct thorough accident/safety incident investigations, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.

  • Ensure business units and locations maintain adequate EHS processes and improvement plans.

  • Manage all statutory inspections and audits, maintaining records as required.

  • Analyze and report monthly KPI statistics, communicating results in a timely manner.

  • Casually manage incidents and accidents, liaising closely with legal and insurance bodies, keeping senior management updated accordingly.

  • Implement on-site EHS improvement, awareness, and engagement programs.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

  • Support global EH&S policy elaboration and deployment, leading regional implementation.

  • Coordinate new regulation implementation, facilitating audits and regulatory inspections.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and company policies, conducting training sessions and workshops as necessary.
