Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team.

This position is open to both part-time and full-time candidates.

The successful applicant will play a vital role in ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general maintenance duties, including painting, masonry, basic carpentry, and minor repairs.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Team to deliver day-to-day maintenance and installations across the hospital and residential areas.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance and maintain accurate service records.
  • Maintain high standards of decoration and general building appearance.
  • Prioritise tasks from the maintenance log in consultation with departmental managers.
  • Carry out regular safety inspections, including checks on emergency lighting, fire alarms, and firefighting equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot maintenance issues, coordinating prompt repair to minimise service disruption.
  • Liaise with on-site tradespeople and external contractors as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably within a healthcare or similar setting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage varied maintenance challenges.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and best practices.
  • Carpentry, painting, and/or decorating experience (desirable).
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
  • Full, clean European driving licence (essential).
