Job Title:
Consultant General Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced consultant general surgeon to undertake a range of challenging surgical procedures, providing comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care to patients, and collaborating with medical staff to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a broad range of general surgical procedures.
  • Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care to patients.
  • Participate in on-call rota and emergency surgeries.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Engage in teaching, training, and supervising junior medical staff.
  • Participate in clinical audits, research, and continuous professional development.

Requirements:

  • Active registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
  • Fellowship or equivalent in General Surgery.
  • Extensive experience in a broad range of general surgical procedures.
  • Proven track record of excellence in clinical practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
