Food and Nutritional Supplements Specialist Role:

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill a challenging position in our team as a Food and Nutritional Supplements Specialist.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our nutritional supplements, from raw materials to finished products.

This role involves several key responsibilities:

  • Implementing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to guarantee the absence of objectionable organisms in non-sterile products.
  • Developing product specifications in accordance with USP guidelines, working closely with manufacturers and guidance from regulatory bodies.
  • Conducting microbiological tests, including enumeration of aerobic bacteria, yeast and molds, and presence of bile-tolerant gram-negative bacteria.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, such as AOAC and ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful Food and Nutritional Supplements Specialist will be accountable for:

  • Monitoring water testing and E. coli – Coliform Presence/Absence.
  • Implementing procedures for determining the absence of specified objectionable organisms.
  • Developing and maintaining product specifications in accordance with USP guidelines.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and meet business objectives.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in food safety and quality assurance, preferably in the supplement industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, USP guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
