Job Title:

Senior Environmental Consultant

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee contract delivery to ensure high-quality ecological services.
  • Provide expert ecological input across projects.
  • Lead ecological surveys and fieldwork activities, ensuring thoroughness and quality.
  • Develop and implement Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs).
  • Prepare assessments, reports, and other environmental deliverables.
  • Produce technical reports, focusing on detail, accuracy, and timely delivery.
  • Ensure quality control across all project outputs.
  • Represent the company as an expert witness at hearings when required.
Requirements:
  • Hold a degree in ecology or a related field.
  • Have at least 10 years of post-graduate experience in environmental consultancy.
  • Be a member of CIEEM, CIWEM, or a comparable professional body.
  • Proven experience serving as an expert witness and participating in oral hearings.
  • In-depth knowledge of Irish wildlife and conservation legislation.
  • Strong technical report writing capabilities.
  • Experience in preparing and overseeing CEMP implementation.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills.
