The Role of Label Coordinator is a pivotal position within an organization that oversees the management and upkeep of label artwork and files.
Key Responsibilities:- Label File Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date label files.
- Place labels on hold when necessary and track stock levels.
- Retire and archive outdated label files in line with company procedures.
- System & Data Updates:
- Utilize Excel trackers to monitor label activity.
- Update label status and progress within the QAD system.
- Track label development and share updates with relevant teams.
- Customer & Supply Chain Support:
- Collaborate with customers to create and develop label artwork.
- Review customer artwork and printer proofs to ensure they meet specifications.
- Inform the supply chain team of label timelines and readiness.
- Artwork Creation & Amendments:
- Design and edit label artwork using Adobe InDesign.
- Make PDF amendments and prepare files for print production.
- Convert older QuarkXPress files into InDesign when required.
- Produce PDFs for both print and digital use.
- Documentation & Procedures:
- Develop internal guidelines on label creation, file management, and artwork verification.
