We are seeking a highly skilled Production Planning Expert to join our team. As a key member, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating production operations to meet the demands of our retail customers.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating sales forecasts and customer orders into efficient and achievable daily and weekly production plans, ensuring seamless flow from raw material intake to finished packaged goods.
Key Responsibilities:- Production Scheduling Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed production schedules for 11 packing lines, balancing competing priorities and ensuring timely order fulfillment.
- Efficiency and Optimization Continuously monitor production performance against the plan, identifying opportunities to improve line efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance productivity.
- Capacity Planning Analyze production capacity, including machine availability and labor resources, to create realistic and efficient plans. Proactively identify potential bottlenecks and collaborate with the production team to find solutions.
- Liaise with Production Manager and supervisors to ensure suitable schedules are implemented.
- Materials Coordination Work closely with Demand planners and Procurement managers to ensure timely availability of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials.
- Stakeholder Collaboration Act as a liaison between Production Supervisors, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment on daily plans.
- Report on Status of scheduled production using KPIs, ensuring a positive OTIF (on-time-in-full) KPI.
- Disruption Management Liaise with Maintenance Supervisor regarding unplanned maintenance shutdowns and scheduled machine services.
- 6+ years experience in production planning or scheduling roles, preferably in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environments, with strong understanding of retail supply chain demands.
- Exceptional analytical and numerical skills, high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confidence to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Experience in food manufacturing or fresh produce industry highly advantageous.
- Third-level degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or related field.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, SMED).
